Hi! Thank you SO much for your interest in my services and work. My name is Kristen Martin and I am a full-time maternity, newborn and baby photographer based in (North County) San Diego, California.
I absolutely adore all things bellies and babies and live on newborn snugggles. What motivates me? I love being able to use my extensive experience and talent to create gorgeous images of this special time for you to keep as memories. Some of the quotes I have loved to hear have been:

These comments feed my soul. Seriously, it is the best job ever.
A little about me- I love coffee, everything pink and sparkles and could eat sushi for every meal. The loves of my life include my husband Eric (we have been together for 20 years!), our 12 year old son Jackson, our baby daughter Astrid and our pugs Benjamin, Ollie and Gracie. If I am not taking photos you can most likely find me in leggings and a messy bun, editing photos with some bad but oh so fun reality TV in the background.
My clients describe me as positive, patient, and sweet. I have been referred to a baby whisperer on more then one occasion which is a title I proudly claim. Crying newborn? Uncooperative toddler? No problem! I have several tricks up my sleeve and always get a gallery. Having worked in early childhood education for my entire career, I love using my unique combined talent of photography and abilities to work effectively with babies, children and people each day to document and capture such an important time in my client’s lives. I said this on the home page but it bears repeating- I firm believer in respecting each child (no matter how small) as a unique individual with needs that are meant to be honored. I love getting to know each infant and child and I listen to them in each session to make sure they are comfortable and secure.
You want the best for your baby and safety is my number one concern. I am experienced ( I have photographed over 500 babies) and am safety trained as well as fully vaccinated, including against COVID 19. I am a member of the PPA and am fully insured. The teacher in me loves education and I am always working on my craft by regularly seeking new training as well as self- reflection.
